Lisa Rosenberg served as the 2017-2018 poet laureate of San Mateo County, California, and is the author of A Different Physics, winner of the Red Mountain Prize. A former Wallace Stegner Fellow at Stanford University, she holds degrees in physics and creative writing, and worked as a research engineer in the space program. Her polymath background includes aviation, design, performing arts, and practitioner training in The Feldenkrais® Method of Somatic Education, which continues to influence her work. Lisa is a frequent speaker on the confluence of arts and sciences, and was recently awarded a Djerassi Leonardo Residency to further her multidisciplinary work. Her poems and essays appear in venues such as POETRY, The Threepenny Review, Ruminate, Organizational Aesthetics, Amsterdam Quarterly (forthcoming), and California Fire & Water: A Climate Crisis Anthology.
