Connie Post served as the first poet laureate of Livermore, California. Her work has appeared in Calyx, American Journal of Poetry, River Styx, One, Slipstream, Spoon River Poetry Review, Slippery Elm, Valparaiso Poetry Review and Verse Daily. Her Awards include the Crab Creek Review Poetry, the Liakoura Award, the Prick of the Spindle Award, and the Caesura Award. She has been short listed for the Muriel Craft Bailey awards (Comstock Review) and the Lois Cranston Memorial Awards (Calyx). Her work has also been named a finalist twice in the Cutthroat Magazine Joy Harjo Prize. Her first full length Book Floodwater won the Lyrebird Award. Her second full length collection (also by Glass Lyre Press) Prime Meridian was released in January 2020 and was a finalist in the Best book Awards and the International Book Awards. Connie has been the creator and curator of the California Poet Laureate List since 2005.
