Charan Sue Wollard

Charan Sue (Cher) Wollard was poet laureate of Livermore, California, 2009-2013. She also served on the board of directors of the Ina Coolbrith Circle, the nation’s oldest continuous poetry circle, 2014-2019. Her award-winning poems have appeared in literary journals and anthologies including the Carquinez Review, The Gathering, Bird Black as the Sun: California Poets on Crows and Ravens, and Joys of the Table: An Anthology of Culinary Verse. Two books of her poetry have been published: In My Other Life, a collection of original poems and paintings, was released in 2010, and The Magician’s Wife in 2018, both by Richer Resources Publications. In 2013, the City of Livermore appointed her to the Commission for the Arts, on which she still serves.
